El Principado de Hamamshen (dialecto Homshetsi : Համամշէն, Eshakhutatun Hamamshen ) fue un pequeño principado establecido alrededor del año 790 ^[2] por los armenios que huían de las invasiones árabes y de la creación del estado de Arminiya, gobernado por árabes musulmanes.
